When we arrived and met our guide, she was unaware that our son Daniel was coming in on a different flight. He has been in China working at a foster home these past 3 weeks, and the plan was for him to fly into Beijing and wait for us in the luggage claim area. What we didn’t realize is there are 2 terminals and Daniel arrived at a different one than us. Matthew went with the guide to find him, while we waited in case he headed over to our terminal – the terminals are really like 2 separate airports and not that close to each other. So after about 2 hours, a little panic, much prayer and searching, he was found. Anyway, all is well as he sits here in our room telling us wonderful stories of the kids he has fallen in love with at the foster home.
We are about 12 hours away from meeting Samuel. All day long we have counted down the hours till we meet him. And after all the waiting, preparing and planning, it still doesn’t seem real.
We took very few pictures today. The first one is at the beginning of our travel, and the second one is at the end. Well, off to get some much needed sleep. Next post – Samuel’s Gotcha Day!!!!
