We met our guide in the hotel lobby early, made a stop at the bank to exchange money, and then headed to the Orphanage to meet Samuel. When they brought him in he came right to me and just wrapped his little arms around my neck and held on so tight. This boy is S.W.E.E.T. and very peaceful. He has had moments of crying but is quickly consoled with food. He loves to eat and it shows. He is such a chunky monkey. He has the cutest little laugh and adorable dimples. Everyone has had so much fun with him, but he responds to Mercy and laughs at her the most. And she eats that up. I thought she would seem so big once we got him, but he isn’t far behind her. They are only 8 months apart but she is very tall for her age, and looks like he is following in her footsteps.
I’m so tired tonight due to jet lag and little sleep so I will share some pictures of the day and hope to post more details about our wonderful son tomorrow.
